Clinical Research

We have an extensive program in clinical research, for two reasons:

1. We believe it is important to do what we can to help bring new treatments for allergies and asthma to market.

2. Many of our patients have severe symptoms that are only partially controlled with the medications that are currently on the market. By participating in the pre-market drug development process, we are often able to offer our patients exciting new drugs that offer capabilities unlike any other medications currently available.

Other advantages of participating in clinical research include:

1. All physical exams, blood work, lung function testing, and other procedures are performed free of charge.

2. All study-related medication is provided at no cost for the duration of the trial, for anywhere between a few weeks to as long as a year, depending on the study.

3. A stipend is provided to compensate you for the time that is required to participate in the study, including filling out diary cards, transportation to and from the clinic, etc. The stipends typically range from $200 to as much as $1100, depending on how much time and effort is required by the study.

We are currently conducting several trials of medications for asthma and allergic rhinitis. To find out more about the studies that are currently enrolling, and to explore whether you might be eligible to participate in one of them, please call our study coordinator, Jenny, at (414) 529-8519.
